With their 2013 opus, Images Du Futur Montreal art rockers Suuns (pronounced “soons” in case you were wondering) drew a heck of a lot of comparisons to acts like Clinic and Radiohead with their blend of kraut-rock and psychedelic electronica. I’ve risked blowing my speakers a number of times playing the track “2020”.
After releasing a collaboration with visual artist/musician Radwan Ghazi Moumneh (Jerusalem in My Heart) last year, Suuns return with a brand new single – Translate from their forthcoming 3rd release – Hold/Still (due April 15)
Hold/Still is project that saw them venture outside of their comfort zone with Grammy award-winning producer John Congleton (St Vincent, The War On Drugs, Sleater- Kinney) and I think we can safely say, that’s where life really begins.
