Found Audio hail from Allston/Boston, Ma. and describe their music as psychedelic bluegrass. Their sound is what used to be called alt-country or insurgent country, but the fact that the quintet infuse keyboards and banjo, folk and indie rock, makes it a strange hybrid for sure.
Radiation is the lead track off the band’s second record – Locomotive Earth and it’s pretty much a straight up rock track until that banjo hits.
Radiation also has a new wave vibe, with elements of classic power pop – like Elvis Costello or The Motors, and this, along with the banjo makes Found Audio a closer cousin to alt-country acts like Blood Oranges or Go To Blazes than, say Mumford.
Fun fact! Found Audio’s new video was shot entirely with 16 cell phone cameras.
Locomotive Earth was released October 16. You can get it HERE!
