If you follow Third Man Records on every social media platform like I do, you’ve known about Margo Price for a while. Jack White and co. have been promoting Price’s freshman debut for several months now, and for good reason. Price’s Midwest Farmer’s Daughter pays tribute to country greats, most certainly Loretta Lynn. “Hurtin’ (On the Bottle)” is the first single from the album, and on a week when we’re still mourning the loss of Merle, it has given me hope that old school country didn’t leave with him.
