The Maxines were a raw 2-piece garage rock ‘n’ roll duo from Olympia, WA that existed from 2009-2012. Formed by Texan expats Matt Murillo (UK Gold) and Kel Norman, The Maxines had a couple of excellent singles on K records and La Ti Da Records. They toured the West Coast and played loads of shows locally.
The Maxines Burn It Down is their posthumous full length, comprised of unreleased nuggets culled from a couple of sessions done up in Olympia at High Command with Captain Tripps Ballsington, and Dub Narcotic Studio with Ben Hargett.
The Maxines Burn It Down will be available for Pre-Order from Girlsville starting at midnight on May 1st, in concert with Bandcamp suspending revenue shares for artists and small label and label-like entities.
