This for all you Britpop kids who like to get crazy and go dancing. It’s fun , the EP is a nice introduction to their work. I can see the bar full of kids just getting the urge to move to the dance floor, good stuff. Give a listen , tell your friends, spread the word help make music fun again….

Let’s Meet ….The Mad Sugars

Hi our name is…. The Mad Sugars

And our sound might be best described as…. Indie Britpop Dance Rock

We are…Adam, Dan, Eli, Richie, and newly introducing Anna and Sarah!

We are originally from….. Northern New Jersey

The first time we met was….. 3 of us go way back to attending high school together, but we became a 4-piece band in 2012, adding our backup singers in late 2013

We knew we were going to be a Band when………Adam wrote some songs on his own and was determined to get a band together!

Before starting the band we were employed as…….We all still have day jobs in various fields

Our craziest gig ever was…. Bowery Electric, 12/28/13… Our first gig as a six-piece!

The first song we wrote was……. “Save Your Breath”

It’s about…… Breaking up, in the most generic way possible.

What we are currently listening to….Yacht Rock

A few albums we could never part with…. I (Adam) can’t speak for the others, but some of my top faves are “This Year’s Model” by Elvis Costello, “Clarity” by Jimmy Eat World, Franz Ferdinand’s self-titled album, and “Like Vines” by The Hush Sound. Also, Anna could never part with “Spice World”

For fun we like to….. Make music, jam, rock out, drink, go to shows, bake, discuss classic literature

The one thing we want you to remember while you’re listening to us……Our songs! If they’re stuck in your head, we’re doing our job.

Expect…..More shows in more places, and best of all, more music from us in 2014
