This Day in Rock History – The Rolling Stones “Angie”

October 14th, 1973
The Rolling Stones hit #1 with “Angie”. Some claim the song was about David Bowie’s first wife but the writer of the song, Mick Jagger, states “Angie” was a pseudonym for heroin and his battle to quit while detoxing in Switzerland.
