Cleveland punk legends, The Pagans released “What’s This Shit Called Love?” in 1978, the B-side to the 7″single “Street Where Nobody Lives” as a follow-up to their debut EP, Six and Change. The driving immediacy of Brian Morgan on drums and Tim Allee on bass, Mick Metoff’s ferocious fuzzed-out guitar, and frontman Mike Hudson’s manic vocals have got me hooked and eager to treat my ears to their Crypt Records compilation of 1978-79 studio output, Shit Street, as well as Mike Hudson’s 2014 release with guitarist Loren Molinare, Hollywood High.
