The NOW Sound Of NOW, from Hidden Volume Records, Meet, The Belltowers

belltowers use

As luck would have it a few weeks ago I started a conversation with Scott from Hidden Volume Records. He had visited 50thirdand3rd and thought our musical taste were in line with each other, he could not have been more right. There will be a Meet the Label coming soon, but we are going to kick off our collaboration with The Belltowers.

The Belltowers have that sound that I am constantly on the lookout for, those big old guitars from the 60’s , you know the kind Roger McGuinn used. Over the years 2 groups that have come the closest to me of recapturing the essence of that groovy sound would be REM and The Cynics, so now we need to add The Belltowers to that short list. This is pop at its best, all cool and jangy, sing along time songs. Me, I love this awesomeness, these guys rock and I find it hard to believe that I haven’t heard of them up till now, but Hidden Volume Records has some excellent kick ass bands that we will be “Meeting” over the next few weeks, The Belltowers rock…Follow them, buy their single, for all you collectors out there I’m telling you the art work for Hidden Volume Records is off the chart impressive , your friends will be envious, your Parents will be awed by your good taste in music and art, it’s a win win kids, jump on this train called Hidden Volume Records and fill your days and nights with some of the coolest tunes you will discover in 2014..Now lets Meet The Band…

shedded in an actual wooden shed till the spiders chased us off.
I met Marshall via an ad at a local music store. We had so much fun talking
on the phone I forgot I set off a bug bomb.
Tom, Marshall and I played in a band called Little Bill.

Tom: Early 90¹s, and mid 90¹s.

Paul: Saw Eddie walking down the street for the first time while he held a
Gretsch Tennessean over his shoulder. I later met him at Murmur records in
Orlando. I met Tom and Marshall when I was asked to join Los Kneivels by
their lead guitarist in the 90¹s.

Before starting the band we were employed as…….

Tom: I was living and working in Kansas City.
Paul: Record stores!

Our craziest gig ever was….

Eddie: They’re all crazy
Tom: The tiny stage at Bullitt in downtown Orlando. I hit Marshall in the
elbow a few times with my cymbals.

Listening².
Tom: ³Time Will Tell², I wrote the lyrics, Paul wrote the melody and the
music.
Paul: ³No One Is Listening².

It’s about……
