Sunday Soul: Toussaint McCall – Nothing Takes The Place Of You (1967)

I remember finding this record in my grandmothers basement when I was a kid. The first time I heard it, I remember feeling sad…..kinda bittersweet. I had really never experienced something like that before. I guess when a song makes you feel a new emotion, it’s something special. It’s still one of my favorite soul singles.
