Story Of American Folk Music…Part 1(BBC)

folk

My Dad liked The Kingston Trio, The Smother Brothers and Johnny Cash, me heading to Dylan was only a natural thing and whenever I get time , I revisit, Folk and the Blues, I love history and how our music is woven through that history is what binds us. It doesn’t take much to connect this old Folk to what Those Darlins, Promised Land Sound, The Wild Feathers, Natural Child, Holly Golightly, Angel Olsen are all doing today. So for the memory of Pete and Woody, pull up a chair and school yourself, twitter and tumblr will survive without you for an hour and you’ll be a littler wiser for it….
