Meet…..Gurr
Hi our name is Gurr
And our sound might be best described as Garage Rock meets Spice World.
We are…. Andreya Casablanca (Guitar), Jil März(Bass) and Laura Lee Jenkins(Drums)
We are originally from Berlin, Germany (Laura Lee and Andreya) and Buffalo, NY (Jilian)
The first time we met was at a Thee Oh Sees Show in Berlin. Andreya and Laura Lee were handing out flyers for their first big show and promising blow-jobs in exchange for showing up. Jil denied politely and offered to play bass.
We knew we were going to be a Band when we were chased around by a photographer after a show because we ‘looked like a band’ but we were just really, really sweating a lot.
Before starting the band we were employed as barkeepers, marketing and PR assistants
Our craziest gig ever was playing topless at a slutwalk party with PEACHES.
The first song we wrote was Joseph-Gordon Levitt.

What we are currently listening to: Mikal Cronin, The Courtneys, Quilt, King Krule and obscure sounds that are coming out of your mouth
