The Snake Charmers deliver strong story-based songwriting with a feminine perspective, sultry vocals, and their own brand of blues stylings where sometimes less is more.   “Been Gone Too Long” is a 10-song album of original contemporary blues, including “Hoochie Mama (I Wanna Be a),” “Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues,” “Big Big Love,” and, of course, “Been Gone Too Long.”

We take Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown’s words to heart when he said he played “American Music.” We do, too, writing and producing our own albums with a variety of songs within the blues/blues rock genre.

The Snake Charmers are a 4 member contemporary blues band featuring Marie Angell (vocals/keyboards), Will Blumentritt (bass), Larry Meeker (guitar) and Eric Blumentritt (drums). They are 2009 and 2010 Houston Press Music Award nominees and their music is played on radio stations worldwide.  All lyrics and music written by Marie Angell.
