Yesterday I spent some time in the Red Room with Taylor Kingman from The Hill Dogs. He’s a total bad ass and I think we’ll eventually do an on camera interview, but this time we had a good ol’ fashion one on one powwow. We talked about the origins of his band, his musical background, what it’s like to play shows when you’re underage (he’s 21 now), his tattoos, and a variety of other topics. I also had the pleasure of capturing four killer unrecorded songs performed right in my own living room. After the session we went to The Firkin Tavern for pizza and drinks and just happened to meet Extremo the Clown’s son (or at least someone who claimed to be) and his alleged son’s friend. Of course I insisted on taking some awkward pictures of them all with sgcbus, but eventually I let Taylor go home. It really was a hell of a session. His band The Hill Dogs is playing a show at The Doug Fir with Little Tybee and Goose & Fox on July 17th. Don’t miss it.
