I don’t take covering Joni Mitchell lightly. I approach any cover of a Joni Mitchell song with great skepticism. It is far too often that I am disappointed by cheap attempts at covering my queen. Fortunately, Hurray for the Riff Raff’s cover of “River” is basically flawless. This cover isn’t new, but I’ve been listening to a lot of Joni lately and every retail store and Starbucks seems to be playing Christmas music, so I thought today I’d share a great cover of my favorite Christmas song.
