There’s something timeless about Boston punks Pandemix. Listening to their latest release “Rank & File” you get the sense it could’ve been recorded in the heydey of the 80s hardcore scene, complete with timely lyrics and an urgent angst to the sound.
Pandemix pretty much kick down the door with the compelling opening lines of “Rank & File“:
“THERE ARE BODIES IN THE STREET, STILL YOU WON’T CALL IT A WAR.
BLACK BODIES LEFT LYING IN THE STREET.
JUST HOW MUCH WILL WE IGNORE?”
Powerful stuff indeed and one of the best hardcore tracks I’ve heard in a while.
This 7” – out on Dirt Cult April 13th, includes songs recorded at the same session as the band’s “Scale Models of Atrocities” 12” released last year on Boss Tunage Record.
Order from Green Noise Records.
