I’ve done a few post on Kurt Baker in the last few months with our friends at Rum Bar Records.. Today we are featuring “Give It Up” as our Record of the Day and this time Kurt is working with our friends at Hidden Volume Records. As I get ready to pick 6 songs from 2015 , I can tell you that I will have tunes from Hidden Volume Records and Rum Bar Records on my list. Both of these labels have a knack for picking bands that I can really get into. I love the beat and the power pop and all things garage and these two are among the best in the business in giving us nothing but the best. So it isn’t a coincidence that two labels that I dig the shit out of both put stuff out by Kurt Baker in 2015.
This is from Hidden Volumes Bandcamp:
After a string of “Coolest Song in The World” hits on Sirius/XM Underground Garage and many acclaimed LPs, The Man from Maine in Spain delivers two sides of power pop and garage for Hi-Vo Recs! “Give It Up” is pure Stiff Records-inspired goodness on the A-Side while “Motion Devotion” sees Kurt exploring his fuzz-filled garage side. Limited to 300 copies with the first 100 on electric blue vinyl AND shipping with an exclusive KB Combo patch! First come, first serve. Give it up, people. ELECTRIC BLUE VINYL SOLD OUT! (10/8/15) Includes digital pre-order of Give It Up.
