Starsha Lee featuring the extraordinary and eccentric Sofia de Oliveira Martins are an enigmatic four piece out of London.
Martins, a combination of Yoshiko Fujiyama and Nina Hagen, wails like a banshee and moves like a human strobe light over a dirty heavy rock riff on “Love Is Superficial“.
Right now Starsha Lee is a bit of a mystery, but they’ve just signed to Syndicol Music and will be releasing their forthcoming album in early 2018.
“Love is Superficial” is captivating enough for me to add Starsha Lee to my highly anticipated 2018 list.
