Record of the Day…Sin Eater by Poison Headache

Other than the late 70s early 80s, I don’t think there had been a better time for heavy music for me. It’s an embarrassment of riches right now, and you can add San Diego power trio Poison Headache to the list.

Holy crap! Straddling the line between the classic thrash of Slayer and Death and the raging hardcore of Cryptic Slaughter and Napalm Death, Poison Headache expertly blast their way through the 10 songs on their self-titled debut record out on Metal Blade.

It’s like a kick in the teeth. In a good way of course. I love it!

Domestic now, but spent early to late 80s playing drums in a hair metal band in Toronto. Since then I've lost the hair and have found new ways to scratch the rock and roll itch.
