Record of the Day is Rita Mae Young by The Record Company

the record companyDon’t you just love when a song gets under your skin, humming and giving you that buzz that you so desperately crave with music? This song, “Rita Mae Young” does that to me. The Record Company have this ability to produce this raw and alive rock n’ roll that pulls us through the mud as if a baptism and rebirth into soul-stirring sound of sincere blues and rock, you can’t go back to listening to shitty music after hearing it. This trio is out of Los Angeles and is currently on tour across America until the end of November. They started by playing in the basement of their bass player in 2011, and after supporting many big names on stage, The Record Company is blowing up in 2016. “Rita Mae Young” is off TRC’s debut album Give It Back To You, out now and available for ordering here.

Chris Vos: vocals, guitars, lap steel, pedal steel, harmonica Alex Stiff: bass, guitars, vocals Marc Cazorla: drums, piano, vocal
