New band, The Soaks have released a new single “Boyfriend” from Swami Records’ Hardcore Matinee compilation LP. “Boyfriend” is a power pop song that is upbeat and catchy and all that you need for this Friday. A simple punk song with a simple statement, “I don’t wanna be your boyfriend.” This San Diego band nails the effortless style of this track and the intense, raw sound they produce. They have just released a pretty impressive tour schedule, supporting acts such as GYMSHORTS, Rough Francis and Shannon and the Clams with more dates still being added.
