I’ve been friends with The Rich Hands for over a few years, the 1st time I listened to them , I had to know more about them and that eventually led me to a sit down with The Rich Hands here in Orlando as they were swinging through Florida. Over the years , I’ve watched them all grow as musicians and songwriters, and it’s been a lot of fun to watch as they have gone from Buddy Hollyish tunes to these latest tracks , which will be on their new album , out sometime this spring. All of these tracks clearly demonstrate that The Rich Hands are among the best of their generation. When I first heard these tracks a few weeks back, I wrote back to Cody , telling him how I loved the progression from the 1st album to these songs. The Gram Parsons/Stones/Faces tradition/style of rock n roll is in good hands with The Rich Hands. The harmonies, guitar work/drums all just come together like the skies have opened with sunshine announcing the beginning of a new day. This is what rock ‘n’ roll is all about , I’ve listened to these tunes on repeat , picking up on the little things, like guitar licks , tempo changes, acoustic guitars placed strategically and followed with some Chuck Berry/Keith riffs just totally cool stuff and I can’t wait to hear the rest of the album.
