a very cool happy song from Patricia Bahia , who is a Cancer Survivor , which kind of puts a little bit more of a perspective in understanding the message in embracing a “good day”.

ABOUT PATRICIA BAHIA
If your kitchen blender were also a radio, you could mix together ripe strawberries, almond milk, “All You Need is Love” and a shot of espresso and it would sound like the music of singer-songwriter Patricia Bahia. (pronounced ba-HEE-yah).

Armed with a voice as smooth as polished stone that’s been through the rock tumbler of life, and an arsenal of frank, sparkling indie pop tunes in the vein of Aimee Mann, Ingrid Michaelson and Sara Bareilles, Patricia Bahia lives her bucket list & inspires others to do the same.

Patricia started as a soloist with the acclaimed Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir–recording with Linda Ronstadt, performing with Joan Baez, and opening for Bonnie Raitt. She discovered her bucket list desire to write songs during a successful battle with ovarian cancer twelve years ago, and was reborn as the musical love-child of Paul McCartney and Joni Mitchell.

Since then she has become a performing songwriter, and frequent songwriting collaborator with artists and bands (Alisha Zalkin, Sleep Machine, MILCK), garnering TV and film placements in Younger (by the makers of Sex and the City), The Fosters, Switched at Birth and Finding Carter, a promo for Quantico, and the end title credits of a yet to be released indie film.

Patricia’s new full-length CD, Save Your Heart, will be released in October 2015. Produced by Jon Hayes, mixed by Bobby Owsinski (Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Mick Taylor) and mastered by Grammy Award-winning engineer, Erick Labson (Joni Mitchell, Ryan Adams) at Universal Mastering Studios in Hollywood, CA, Save Your Heart features an original Happy Birthday song which has already been licensed for the end title credits of an indie film, and the award-winning Every Day is a Gift, which is included on the Songs for Life compilation CD, raising funds for cancer research.

Guest appearances on the CD include pianist David Joyce (Natalie Cole, Burt Bacharach, Elvis Costello, Wynonna), bassist Joe Ayoub, (Liz Phair, Enrique Iglesias), cellist Jessica Catron and drummers Kevin Hayes (Robert Cray) and Tal Bergman (Chaka Khan, Billy Idol, Joe Bonamassa).

Patricia is on a mission to spread love, healing, joy and peace through the power of words and music–and to inspire others to follow their dreams and live artistically. Join her by adding your name to the email list and you will immediately receive a link to download a Patricia Bahia song sampler.
