The Mad Mean Psychedelia of Danny Lee Blackwell does not disappoint with the drop of this double a side freak powered single, grab your Ticket and it starts with a blaze that burns you through a New Day. The fuzz riff on Ticket is that of a mad scientist that drills you and creates that ever so elusive ear worm. All the while showing those who care to listen, how to abandon and let go of worry and ride the wave instead of trying to be the wave. A reminder like the alarm clock that wakes us in days like this. I needed that fuzz even if I didn’t know it. The second single starts in as a spaghetti style western deep with in an eastern psychedelia dream. Danny Lee Blackwell slowly drives in the perfecting nails that close the casket with an elegant voice and a deeply troubled vision. I do love the fuzz and the throw back in their sound, but in a big step forward. So that is what has these two blistering tracks on repeat until the album gets in.
