Hello kids and welcome back to another installment of Local Track Spotlight from Benny Fuzz! This track comes to us from the dirty warm basement, (that I happen to be in love with at the moment), of the middle east in KCMO. The band Kool 100s has been playing out and about for quite some time now and this isn’t my first rodeo with them. They are an amazingly trashy and punk filled explosion of ooey gooey goodness! Their latest 7 inch on Good Bye Boozy Records out of Italy titled “No Secrets Between Sailors” is nothing short of an amazing, 100% true to form garage budget punk masterpiece. Included in this 4 song seven inch is a cover of Blondie’s “X-Offender”. Beautifully trashy in all the best of ways. I waited by the telephone for Oscar the grouch to call me for a prom date, But alas I was just left with this amazingly trashy 7 inch from Kool 100s! Thank guys! I think the flute Player on this tune sounds familiar, maybe it was the same player on the Rose’ Perez Album who knows, but it was brilliant.
