Lauren Ruth Ward: “White Rabbit” – Record Of The Day

Lauren Ruth Ward has released a cover of the Jefferson Airplane classic “White Rabbit” in celebration of Grace Slick’s birthday.

I discovered Lauren Ruth Ward’s music earlier this summer after listening to songs such as “Sideways” and “Sheet Stains” from her debut album Well, Hell (Weekday Records).
I just fell in love with her incredible, raspy voice and 1970’s psych rock swagger. “Well, Hell” has definitely made my list of favorite albums from 2018.

Lauren will be headlining LA’s El Theatre on December 6th.

Grace Slick is the goddess of psych rock. There’s a movement happening right now in LA that I feel part of. So many women leading their own unique rock genre. I feel invincible singing Grace’s lyrics. I feel the palpable energy of all the musicians in the room when singing “White Rabbit”. It’s one of those songs that gives life.” – Lauren Ruth Ward
