Meet : The Pearl Harts
For those unfamiliar with your bands history, can you tell us all how you all met up and decided to start a band ?
We met on the London music scene and bonded instantly. It was only much later that a mutual friend suggested we play together and we’ve never looked back!
Who would you list as your musical influence?
QOTSA, Black Sabbath, Brody Dalle, Courtney Love, Fleetwood Mac.
What’s the coolest thing that’s happened to you as a band since you started up?
Making friends with Shirley Manson. She’s been really supportive of us and gone out of her way to help us wherever she can.
What are your hopes and dreams as a band for the next few years?
Make a fucking amazing album, tour the world and form a cult.

Do you see any real use for social media, or is it all just a pain in the ass to keep with?
Yes Its essential to help us stay in touch with our fans but we try and be careful not to overload people just for the sake of it. Also it can break down barriers we would not have met Shirley without Facebook.
Do you pay attention to reviews or comments from people about your music or do you just turn that noise off?
We are lucky enough to only have positive comments so far. But we’re not expecting the whole world to like us so might have to start avoiding it at some point!
If you could tour anywhere in the world, where would you want to go?
Japan, The US, Australia and Columbia!
Can music save the mortal soul or is just a good backbeat to your life?
Yeah it can totally save your soul. We wouldn’t be doing this if hadn’t already saved us!
