So far in 2016 Amsterdam’s Klangstof have been dropping huge monster tracks of atmospheric Radiohead meets The XX meets Bon Iver meets Pink Floyd indie pop on an unsuspecting audience.
Klangstof is the project of Norwegian singer/songwriter Koen van de Wardt who left the isolation of Norway for school in Amsterdam and played bass in the indie band Moss. After uploading a previous track – Hostage to Soundcloud, he was signed to Mind of a Genius Records.
The latest track – We Are Your Receiver is a towering and soaring number that wouldn’t sound out-of-place on Coldplay’s Parachutes.
