Sad news spread quick… Ian Patrick ‘Mac’ McLagan of the Small Faces dies at the age of 69.
Ian McLagan started his music career in the early sixties. He was best known as a member of Small Faces and later The Faces. Jimmy Winston had been the original keyboardist for The Small Faces but was replaced by Ian McLagan in 1966 and he remained in the band until 1969 when they first disbanded. He was still a part of the band during the 1975–78 reunion. McLagan was also associated with many other bands over the years including The Rolling Stones. He later led his own band Bump Band starting in the last seventies.
McLagan passed away (couple of minutes ago) on 3 December 2014. Rest in peace Ian Patrick ‘Mac’ McLagan.
