He Sure Got Us singing those Protest Songs, Pete Seeger May 3, 1919 – January 27, 2014

If your a fan Of Dylan, or Bruce or Phil Ochs or Billy Bragg or Tom Morello, you know the songs and the history Of Pete Seeger. The Smother Brothers lost their TV Show for letting him sing , The Big Muddy. He was blacklisted in the 50’s because he fought for social justice. He did that most of his life. Pete Seeger was a great American Folk Artist, only Woody is revered more and if you think about it, Pete’s’ work went on for decades after Woody was gone. I saw him once in Pittsburgh , long ago, and I remember walking back to the car, thinking “God, that was fun”
