I love the name of the band and the sound is just as kick ass. It’s blues garage rock, lot’s of fuzz. If your a fan of Seasick Steve , I’m bettin you just found a new band to rock out to. I’m looking forward to a whole lot more from The Last Monroes in 2014. LOVE IT…..
Hi our name is…. The Last Monroes.
And our sound might be best described as…. garage blues rock.
We are….. Konrad Sheane (drums) and Simon Quinn (guitar and vocals).
We are originally from….. Wicklow town, Ireland.
The first time we met was….. 8 years ago at a Christmas concert at school.
We knew we were going to be a Band when……… we jammed together and felt that we worked well and were into the same style of music.
Before starting the band we were employed as……. Konrad is a farmer and Simon is a sound engineer.
The first song we wrote was……. Dead in the Water.
It’s about…… burning out, rather than fading away. Based on a quote from Kurt Cobain’s suicide letter – “So remember, it’s better to burn out, than fade away”.
What we are currently listening to…. Bass Drum Of Death, Hanni El Khatib, Squarehead, The #1’s, Two Gallants.
For fun we like to….. drink tea, eat sandwiches and just be chillers.
The one thing we want you to remember while your listening to us…… that two people are making all that noise.
