Unless you’re familiar with this Chicago duo, the name The Funs may conjure up something for you but it’s probably not this.
Jessee Rose Crane – drums, vocals, guitar and Philip Jerome Lesicko – guitar, vocals, drums, have been entrenched in the Chicago underground scene for a number of years now but recently moved away from the hustle and bustle to rural Illinois.
The results, as heard on their forthcoming LP – Is A Cult (out in September on Maximum Pelt Records) are spectacular.
This is some sonically lo-fi, swirling, textured, fuzzed out music for dreaming.
