Featured Album: OUTTACONTROLLER – ‘Come Alive’

Halifax power pop punks OUTTACONTROLLER dropped their 5th album ‘Come Alive‘ recently continuing the run of super hooky bubblegum power punk for over 10 years now. It’s been a couple of years since they released their last LP – ‘Sure Thing‘ and on ‘Come Alive‘ they dispense 11 spirited tracks in under 27 minutes.

Like their earlier work ‘Come Alive‘ still combines pop, power, and punk, but there’s something else going on here. Dare I say maturity? That’s not to say their previous output was immature, but tracks like the opener ‘Hit And Run‘, ‘I’m Bad News‘, ‘Hanging Over You‘, and ‘Gets Me Every Time‘ show an awakened focus on songcraft, rather than gunning for the hooks as quickly as possible.
