Despite taking the podcasting world by storm with a streak of increasingly innovative episodes, the eagerly awaited next installment of Counter-Blast failed to appear when expected. Originally intended as a follow-up to their previous episode, Glen and Shaun spent countless hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars recording what by all accounts would have been their masterpiece—yet for unknown reasons, the sessions were scrapped and the master tapes were said to have been destroyed. However, the audio from those sessions was somehow leaked, and Fans & True Believers of the show have used the heavily circulated bootleg tapes (along with period-accurate barnyard animal sounds) to piece together what they believe the historic 40th episode of Counter-Blast might have sounded like had it been released. So don your plastic fireman helmet, grow your beard, and climb into bed as we present the legendary lost episode of Counter-Blast, “The Best and Worst of the Beach Boys III: The Final Nightmare!”
