The Bobbettes are one of the greatest girl groups of all time, and in 1989, Revival Records put out a comp of their big hits, Mr Lee and Other Big Hits, and it rules.

The youngest members of the Bobbettes were twelve when Mr. Lee came out, which is wild, or criminal, I guess, depending on whether the girls got paid or not. I hope they did.

Young or no, the Bobbettes were little vocal powerhouses, and their songs are fun, groovy goodness.

The record is a great one, pick it up if you can. What better way to kick off summer than listening to teen girls sing about shooting one of their teachers in the head?
