Alright folks my hand is injured and I’m high on painkillers, I’m going to keep things short and sweet this week but we’re still gonna have a good time! Alvvays are an indie pop band from Toronto. Not just any indie pop band, but probably the best indie pop band going on the planet. They are the type of indie pop band lobbed right at me as well, they pepper those setlists with Ramones and Primitives covers. There’s some teeth to it. If you are eagerly awaiting the next issue of Chickfactor, Alvvays might be your speed. This new song is all top-notch shimmer and jangle with soaring bittersweet melodies. It’s beautiful, but it also rocks. So here it is ‘Plimsoll Punks’ from Alvvays forthcoming full length Antisocialites.
