Album of the Week: Sunflowers – The Intergalactic Guide To Find The Red Cowboy

Some wicked tunes for the last album of the week in 2017.

Punk duo – Sunflowers, From Porto, Portugal have a new album due in early 2018 but until then check out their 2016 debut release “The Intergalactic Guide To Find The Red Cowboy“.

There’s an incredible energy about this band – their sound is all over the place – garage, punk, psych, surf and enough weirdness to make them stand out in the crowd.

That they’ve supported bands like Thee Oh Sees, The Black Lips, and Tomorrow Tulips makes sense, you’ll hear traces of all three here along with the overdrive of the Sonics (there’s even a song called “The Witch“). But Sunflowers are no copy cats, they bring their own fireworks to the party.

Can’t wait for the new record.
