Album of the Week: LOUDNESS WAR – MYSTIFIER DELUXE

We’re staying in Louisianna for the second week in a row.

I don’t know how to describe Baton Rouge’s Loudness War but their new record – ‘Mystifier Deluxe‘ (their 4th full-length) will certainly appeal to fans of Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees, and King Gizzard.

Weirdo, fuzzed-out garage/psych/punk sludge noise pretty much covers it but they also shake out their wizard sleeve and cast hooky spells that will stay with you long after the record is over.

Weird and cool and at times explosive and druggy, I really like this record a lot. Play it loud, you won’t be disappointed.

Stevie Spring – guitar, vocals
Ryan Welsh – drums
Matthew Urquhart – guitar, vocals
Quinn Tull – bass
