Album of the Week: JOLLYS – “Sweet Freak”

Chicago punks Jollys hit up a bunch retro sounds on their debut full-length “Sweet Freak” and it makes for one hell of a fun listen.

There’s doo-wop, bubblegum, surf, 60s garage, and Jollys manage to craft some pretty catchy party tunes by building it all on top of Dee Dee’s short and simple formula into what they call “slop pop”.

It totally works for me and fans of together PANGEA, White Reaper, and Jacuzzi Boys will find a lot to like here.

Released on cassette from Dumpster Tapes you can order HERE!
