Short and sweet. Very short. Very sweet. That describes “Here Come…” the debut album from Tommy and the Commies. Short because the album is a total of 16 minutes long. Sweet because the Sudbury, Ontario trio sound like they got in the hot tub time machine in 1977 and arrived in 2018.
I know, we say that a lot here, but believe me this trio is no mere copy cat. Featuring members of Strange Attractor and Statues, “Here Come…” is 16 perfect punk gems in the vein of Generation X, 999, and the Buzzcocks. Good times!
