Melbourne, Australia’s Drunk Mums have been busy refining the jangly garage rock of their first two full-length records with two EPs and their latest “Urban Cowboy” brings it all home.
On these 10 tracks the Mums crank up the rawk with sonically charged Stooges punk, big 70s KISS riffs, and a bit of T-Rex glam. It’s all dazed and confused, denim and leather and muscles and swagger and it’s a little more Dead Boys than Black Lips.
I’ve been listening to this one non-stop for a bit now and it’s a grand slam!
