A Day in the Life With “Parquet Courts”

I picked up Parquet Court’s newest album, “Sunbathing Animal” a little earlier this week and it has further sparked my interest in the band, which started after I bought their first LP, “Light Up Gold”, and fell in love with their sound and lyrical approach. The music is very steeped in a raw, punk sound, but with the rawness turned down to make way for Austin Brown and Andrew Savage trading lyrically charged vocal performances. The video just gives a glimpse into their lives as they play SXSW, a few other shows, and take peyote in the Mexican Dessert. Enjoy!
