What 50thirdand3rd needs is more rap. What America needs is more rap. With that, my video of the day is “WHY.” by Little Rock, Arkansas’s Big Piph. In August Big Piph premiered his EP, “I Am Not Them” via The Source. The album faces the ongoing racial divide in the country head on, and its bluntness has been widely received. Currently, Big Piph is touring with a full band as Big Piph & Tomorrow Maybe. Earlier this year the group was even invited by the U.S. State Department and American Music Abroad to travel to Morocco, Algeria, and Equatorial Guinea to perform and participate in workshops. Big Piph preaches the truth over toothsome beats and the perfect amount of grit. Get on that Big Piph hype!
