I recently saw them perform live at Americana Fest here in Nashville at The Basement East. They are the Cryar sisters and the Jones Brothers. Their music is bluegrass folk but in their own southern style. Promoting songs from their new album, Sisters and Brothers, they sang all their new songs. Well I shouldn’t say sang really, they harmonized, belted out melodies and serenaded us with sounds that left me thrilled to be standing in front of them. The group’s style has a laid back way about it, but their sound is brilliantly performed. The instruments played to perfection almost enchanting us with each strum of the cords.
