Today we feature the newest single/video off the debut EP from, The Kings Parade. It does take you back to the R&B sounds of the late 60’s , if you like the new album from Leon Bridges, this will be something you will want to give a listen to. Catchy , with cool soulfoul vocals and the band is tight as they bring the tune home, filling the room with beautiful harmonies , guarnted you’ll find yourself singing along .
from their Bio:
Since the formation of The King’s Parade in 2012, the four-piece’s assured touch of melodic, crossover pop with classic Detroit blues has frontman Olly Corpe and his band evoking the credible sounds of Bill Withers or Leon Bridges. This is a classic sound honed by musicians playing together more than 40 hours a week on a Hawaiian cruise ship. Think the Beatles’ unknown early gigs in Hamburg strip clubs and you’re about there.
It’s not just storyline though: The King’s Parade quickly proved their technical chops after joining the London circuit, securing a residency at legendary blues institution Ronnie Scott’s – and since then they’ve played tastemaker shows at The Great Escape, Bestival and Reeperbhan Festival this year as well as embarking on their first European tour in April. With early tastemakers including CLASH and EARMILK expressing their admiration for their debut release ‘Bunched Up Letters’, their second single ‘Silhouette’ further confirms The King’s Parade’s status as one of the most naturally talented and hustling young blues acts this year.
