Video of the Day: Swampbird, “Matter of Time” [Official Video]

Remember when we featured that kickass song, “Creepin’ Away” by The Uh Huhs? Well, Trent and Zac of The Uh Huhs also make great tunes in another, more southern outfit by the name of Swampbird.

Swampbird is a foot-stomping, folk rock five piece. They call Little Rock, Arkansas home, and Swampbird’s Arkansas, Alabama and Louisiana roots are certainly heard throughout their most recent EP, Something to See. The boys kicked off a summer of touring with the premier of “Matter of Time.”

Directed and produced by Chris Jones of BADGUYS Media in Nashville, the video stars Aubrey Peeples, of the hit TV show, Nashville. In Swampbird’s second video produced by BGM, Peeples and vocalist/guitarist Mike Earl dance their way to the end of a drunken relationship to the tune of “Matter of Time.” The final installment of the three-part video series is in the works, and should be out later this year.

Swampbird’s whiskey-slurred, and two steppin’ accessible rock and roll comes together with Mike Earl on guitar and vocals, Zac Hale on bass and vocals, Trent Whitehead on guitar, Alex Piazza on steel guitar, and Paul Fenning on drums.

Catch Swampbird in the coming months at any of these locations, and if you’re at the Hill Country show, come say hello. I’ll be ramblin’ around.
