Video of the Day…Cartoon by Soul Asylum

There’s a new Soul Asylum album coming soon (you can preorder HERE). It’s their first since 2012’s Delayed Reaction, a record that saw the band rediscover just a little bit of the magic. And did there ever used to be magic.

I must admit in the mid-late 80s, Soul Asylum, along with The Replacements, Husker Du, were it for me. I can’t listen to a song off Hang Time or And The Horse They Rode In On without drifting back to my college days. So I’m hoping Change of Fortune lives up to its title.

Regardless, Hang Time remains one of my favourite albums of all time. So with a new record on the horizon, let’s throw it back to 1988 and one of my favourite songs from the 80s.

Domestic now, but spent early to late 80s playing drums in a hair metal band in Toronto. Since then I've lost the hair and have found new ways to scratch the rock and roll itch.
