Video of the Day is Punks in a Disco Bar

beach slangThere is a special place in my heart for Beach Slang. Frontman James Alex has a way of connecting you to the music and lyrics, pouring his sometimes broken and vulnerable heart into every verse as he screams and jumps and his eyes beg and plead for that emotion to spread through the room. Seeing they had a new video out yesterday made me glad to have video of the day today, well I am always glad for that but you know… I have been a big Beach Slang fanatic for a while now and watching them get bigger and find out who they are as a band, as musicians and artists is one of the most exciting and thrilling things in all of this crazy world. I can’t tell you how excited I am for their new album coming out in September, I mean I could tell you I am jumping up and down and screaming yaaasssss, but would you truly get it? This track is the first to debut from the new album, A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings due out September 23 via Polyvinyl Records. “Punks in a Disco Bar” is a guitar ripping song with screaming vocals to match. The video has a youthful vibe of freedom and complete disregard, living in the moment with a vintage home movie film kind of collage of how the story plays out. Enjoy!
