Video of the Day…Back To The Island by Nat Jenkins and the HeartCaves

Nat Jenkins is well connected. Before relocating from London to France, his bands have featured people like Dan Smith of Bastille, Ben Lovett of Mumford and Sons, Sam Doyle of The Maccabees, Natalia Tena of Molotov Jukebox, Freddie Cowen of The Vaccines, and Luke Pritchard of the Kooks. He has collaborated with Rolling Stones producer Chris Kimsey and Clash guitarist Mick Jones, and he performed and sang with The Animals on their most recent UK tour. Oh, and he’s also written a novel.

Nat Jenkins & The HeartCaves are set to release their new album ‘Back To The Island’ in the UK on April 1st, and Back To The Island is the first release.

I really love this song, it doesn’t fit into any box – a little Flaming Lips, a touch Joe Henry, maybe some Grandaddy. Looking forward to more.

Domestic now, but spent early to late 80s playing drums in a hair metal band in Toronto. Since then I've lost the hair and have found new ways to scratch the rock and roll itch.
