Video of the Day…Let’s Go Out by Alex Lahey

I’ll admit I don’t know too much about Alex Lahey, but when I heard Let’s Go Out, I thought for a second it could be a new one by The Cardigans. Yes, The Cardigans. They are a much better band than just Lovefool.

Alex channels Nina Persson and takes some cues from 90s alternative rock and roll. I have no doubt that if Let’s Go Out was released in the late 90s it would be all over the radio, with it’s “I’m okay with being alone, but I’d rather have fun if possible in a noncommittal way” theme.

She’s just released her first EP B-Grade University and I’m pretty sure you’ll be hearing a lot from this new Australian talent.

Just try to get this song out of your head.

Domestic now, but spent early to late 80s playing drums in a hair metal band in Toronto. Since then I've lost the hair and have found new ways to scratch the rock and roll itch.
