VENDETTA – “I Wanna Be A Star“ (Supeme Echo) – PREMIERE

Vendetta were some first wave mustachioed punkers from Ottawa, Canada. In 1978 they released a one-and-done 7″ single (“Modern Rockers” b/w “I Wanna Be A Star”). The single brings pure TNT high octane riffs, paired with tough hooks and lyrics! Vendetta’s “Modern Rockers” single is receiving the reissue treatment from the exceptionally good Canadian label Supreme Echo (the label responible for that sweet Dishrags anthology)! “I Wanna Be A Star” is the first teaser from the Vendetta 7″ Flexi, premiered here in all of it’s remastered glory.

From Supreme Echo:

“Wild moustache rockers playing punk in 1978! Barely even known by Canadian collectors, this scarce Ottawa single is reissued for the first time ever. Both “Modern Rockers” and “I Wanna Be a Star” are laden with shredding guitars, vigorous singing and a high octane rhythm section that keeps the listeners attention from start to finish. Remastered from the original 1/4″ stereo reel and vastly superior in sound, this sturdy deluxe DMM mastered, silver label, custom round 7″ flexi comes housed in a dye-cut paper dust sleeve with a thick closed-pocket replica cover and booklet!”
